More than meets the eye

My artistic practice explores curiosity, memory, identity, and place through richly layered mixed-media compositions. I combine painting with found objects, decorative materials, text, symbols, and tactile embellishment, creating surfaces that move between image, object, and visual archive. Vivid colour, ornamentation, and an eccentric sense of detail coexist with recurring motifs such as eyes, keys, flowers, figures, architecture, and fragments of language. These elements invite the viewer to look slowly, follow unexpected associations, and discover new meanings with each encounter. My work approaches observation as a form of inquiry, making it particularly suited to dialogue between artistic and scientific ways of knowing.
